Abstract :
The textile industry is a sector with a wide variety of products. Uşak has a large production share in the field of textile throughout the country. However, waste generated in the textile industry, especially in regions where the textile industry is widespread, creates major problems. Failure to dispose of these wastes in a controlled manner causes bigger problems. In this study, waste fibers from the textile industry were used in plasticized PVC (p-PVC) films. The diffusion of plasticizers from the structure has negative effects on both the environment and the properties of the material. Textile fiber added p-PVC composite films prepared in this study were subjected to 100-160oC heat treatment. The effect of textile fiber additive on plasticizer diffusion from p-PVC composite films was examined. The study will contribute to the economic and environmental protection of natural resources, minimizing energy and water consumption and pollution by utilizing waste fibers, which are a major problem in the textile industry.
