Abstract :
Increasing environmental concerns caused by the overuse of synthetic materials are drawing attention to sustainable materials along with a circular economy approach using the world's recycling pathways. The automotive industry is a sector where polymeric materials are used extensively, and important steps need to be taken to recycle waste. The use of recycled plastics in critical automotive components is not recommended by Orginal Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). However, on the other hand, the utilization of production wastes in value-added products is important in terms of sustainability. In this study, the effect of diesel injector socket injection waste on the material mechanical performance when reused at 4 different rates (%2.5, %5, %10, %15) in the same process was examined.
