Abstract :
Chemotherapy is a widely used method in cancer treatment. However, the chemicals used in this treatment process pose potential risks to healthcare professionals and patients. Therefore, the use of special equipment is of great importance in order to ensure safety during chemotherapy applications. Chemotherapy gloves are one of the most critical parts of this equipment. These gloves protect against high-risk chemicals while also taking into account the comfort of the users. A well-designed chemotherapy glove should both act as a barrier against chemicals and offer ergonomic features for long-term use. With developing technology, quality standards and material science play an important role in the production of chemotherapy gloves. Leading companies such as ESTAŞ are constantly developing innovative solutions to increase the reliability and effectiveness of these gloves. In this context, the production of chemotherapy gloves and the protection they provide have become an indispensable part of modern healthcare services. In this study, we produced chemotherapy gloves with a new method by changing the optimum production conditions of nitrile gloves currently produced at ESTAŞ. The permeability effect of the produced gloves against chemotherapy drugs was examined. As a result, it was observed that they had a protective effect against chemotherapy drugs.
