Abstract :
The European Green Deal aims to create a sustainable, climate-friendly, and circular EU economy by 2050. To achieve this, replacing chemicals harmful to human health and the environment, particularly in consumer products, is crucial. Developing non-toxic coatings equivalent to PFAS-based ones and reducing their environmental impact, especially regarding climate change and resource use, is a key challenge. An integrated approach across disciplines is necessary to identify and address these challenges effectively.
