Abstract :
The aim of this study is to develop antistatic masterbatches that can be used in polyethylene blown film applications and comply with food contact regulations. Polyethylene blown film samples manufactured with the developed masterbatches were tested in a laboratory environment and surface resistivity measurements were performed. It was found that the humidity of the environment plays a critical role in the effectiveness of the antistatic agents. The tests were carried out in accordance with the Turkish Standard TS EN IEC 61340-4-4 at (23±2) °C and (60±10) % relative humidity. As a result of the tests, the films manufactured with the M4 coded antistatic masterbatch showed better performance for 12 months.
