Abstract :
Project Motivation Recently, nanofibers, electrospinning method and membrane production with this method have become very popular and many studies have been conducted and the results of these studies have been published. [1] Especially with the Covid-19 pandemic, the interest in antimicrobial nanofiber membranes has greatly increased. The subject of this study is "Development of nanofiber membranes with antimicrobial properties using UV lamp and electrospinning production method from acrylated cellulose acetate butyrate". This path was taken in order to obtain a membrane that has the potential to turn into a product that can be used in many areas that require antimicrobial activity such as masks, band-aids, etc. in the medical field. The acrylated cellulose acetate butyrate nanofiber membrane was produced by electrospinning method under UV lamp and its antimicrobial properties were provided by acrylated quaternary ammonium salt obtained from the ionic solution of dissolved 1-bromodecane and 2-(dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate. [2] It is planned to test the properties of the obtained membranes by various methods such as SEM and FTIR and to compare them with the existing membranes used in the sector. Project Goals: Obtaining antimicrobial nanofiber membrane from acrylated cellulose acetate butyrate by electrospinning production method with UV lamp Development of knowledge on the creation of acrylated cellulose acetate butyrate nanofiber membrane with UV lamp and electrospinning method with acrylated quaternary ammonium salt that will provide antimicrobial activity Solving practical problems, and optimising production parameters and antimicrobial properties
