Abstract :
Acrylic fibers, known as non-wrinkling, light, warm, resistant to light and weather conditions, non-felting, non-shrinking, mothproof, easy-care, generally shiny and quick-drying, easy-washable and able to preserve their shape; It is one of the fibers that finds a lot of use in knitted fabrics, blankets and carpets, upholstery fabrics, curtains and tablecloths. At the same time, these fibers, which are resistant to oil and chemicals, can be dyed bright colors, have good washing fastness and are resistant to sunlight, are used in the textile industry either alone or mixed with other textile fibers in different proportions. Pilling is a surface defect that occurs when the fiber ends come out of the fabric and cling to each other, forming a bead-like appearance on the fabric surface. The pilling formed in this way is undesirable for the user as it gives the fabric a worn and unsightly appearance. This problem is one of the most important problems that disturb both the manufacturer and the consumer and negatively affect the fabric quality. Especially in acrylic based synthetic fibers, pilling problem is quite high. Our aim in this project is to eliminate the pilling problem of acrylic fiber and to expand the usage area in denim by adding extra softness. For this, rigid, corespun and dualcore weft yarns produced using standard acrylic and acrylic fibers with anti-pilling properties were used in denim fabrics. Then, the physical test results of the fabrics produced were compared.
